Sharon Maria Murdock

Sharon Maria Murdock, First Lady:

Our First Lady, Sharon Maria Murdock. Sharon was born and raised in Newark, N.J., and although she loves Phoenix, she misses the snow! Sharon attended the “Walter Cronkite School of Journalism” at Arizona State University and does not consider a career as a news anchor “out of the question.” There are many ways to describe Sharon. She is a:

• Devoted Wife – to Pastor John Murdock.
• Loving Mother – of three daughters, Sonserea, Danielle, and Sierra.
• Caring Mother-in-Law – to Graylin Johnson.
• Overjoyed Grandmother – to Sydnei and Genae.
• Adoring Sister – to 9 Siblings (5 sisters, 4 brothers).
• Nurturing Aunt.
• Good Friend.
• Hard Working Entrepreneur – currently serving as Director of Food and Beverage for Marriott Hotels, and former Vice President of Murdock Empire Group, Inc. (a Subway restaurant franchisee).

However, most importantly Sharon is a “Christian,” saved by the precious “Blood of Jesus Christ.” She loves the work of the Lord and is passionate about our children. Sharon enjoys teaching our youth, young adults, and mentoring young ladies.

Sharon is a fun-loving person who can’t resist a good joke! She considers it an honor, privilege, and blessing to serve as First Lady of South Mountain Baptist Church.
